Love and Grooming

I received this from a friend who, apparently, gets these posts on a somewhat regular basis. I thought i'd share them on blog, and post the addition on FB. Change the way the Internet sees the 'Shadowcat' 'string'.

This one is on love and grooming. Who HASN'T loved to have someone gently caress heir head as they stroke out the tresses with a 'right' brush and touch? Guys, who hasn't wooed a woman doing so after a fast dance?

I've edited the original, moving all the ads to the end and making them RED. Nice sales and offers, but i preferred to have the commercial at the end. After the epilogue.

So, I hope you like this and get to practice it soon and often...

National Respect Your Cat Day!

So today, I have a very special surprise for you… more on that in just a minute!

First, I want to talk about your cat’s #1 concern.

It’s how they can protect themselves, stay comfortable, and even how they show affection.

I’m talking about grooming.

As you know, your kitty is an expert at grooming, but it’s not just because your furry pal likes to look their best.

In the wild, grooming would be a matter of life and death for your cat. It can help remove odors from their fur which otherwise might attract predators.

Grooming also helps your kitty regulate their body temperature.

They can groom their fur to trap body heat, or groom to add moisture and let cool air circulate over their skin.

Pretty awesome, right? It’s no wonder your furry pal is so particular about their coat.

So, in honor of Respect Your Cat Day…

I want to share a few excellent ways you can help your cat maintain their healthy, beautiful, essential fur.

Brush your cat daily

Gentle brushing stimulates better blood flow and helps relax your cat’s muscles. It can also help remove excess fur (so your cat doesn’t swallow it when they groom.)

There are lots of different types of cat brushes, and some of them cost a pretty penny. But you don’t need anything fancy…

You just need the right type of brush for your cat’s coat.

Long-haired cats generally need a long comb for brushing out tangles, and a soft bristle brush to smooth their fur.

Short-haired cats are usually fine with just a soft bristle brush.

Tip: If you aren’t sure which brush would work best for your cat’s fur, your veterinarian or local groomer will be sure to have recommendations.

Of course, you also need to give your furry pal the right nutritional support for their healthy coat. Which brings me to my next tip…

Nourish your cat's skin and coat

Feed your kitty a nutrient-dense, raw (or freeze-dried raw) diet, filled with omega-3's and essential vitamins.

Avoid grains, even “healthy” grains like brown rice and quinoa. These can cause digestive issues for your furry pal, and potentially lead to skin and coat problems.

And of course, it’s a good idea to include some nutritious treats in your kitty’s diet as well.

I recommend raw or freeze-dried raw salmon, which can provide omega-3s to help improve the health and shine of your cat’s fur.

Plus, your cat will LOVE the savory taste of salmon!

And finally, there’s one more thing you can do to support your cat’s healthy coat…

Skip the haircuts

The fact is: your cat’s fur is already the perfect length for any weather or occasion.

Remember, your kitty’s coat is designed to help them stay warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.

Plus, your cat’s fur is very important to them. And they won’t understand the purpose of a haircut…

They’ll just wonder why their fur is missing. So keep the clippers away from your kitty’s gorgeous fur.

In fact, all you have to do is brush your cat every day, and give them the occasional bath...

And your clever kitty will take care of the rest.

So there you have it. These 3 simple tips can go a long way in showing your cat how much you love and respect them.

I’m so excited I can offer these savings today! But more importantly…

I’m thrilled we can take a day to celebrate your furry best friend.

Which reminds me, for your cat, grooming is also a way to show love. They sometimes groom their family members to make sure you’re comfortable and healthy.

So the next time your cat grooms you, think of it as their way of saying I love you.

To you and your best friend,

Dr. Marty Goldstein
