What makes your cat happy, Charlotte?

The Tubular Treat Toy

You’ll need:

1 empty paper towel roll

Sharp scissors

4 paper clips

Non-toxic glue

Your cat’s favorite treats 

How to make your cat’s Tubular Treat Toy

Step 1: Press an empty paper towel roll flat. Use a few drops of glue to seal both ends shut. Make sure you only glue the outer ends. You want the middle to be hollow.

Slide two paper clips onto each end of the tube to hold it closed while the glue dries.

Step 2: Allow the glue to dry completely, then remove your paper clips.

Check around the outside of the tube for excess glue. Use your scissors to scrape it off if you find any.

Step 3: Carefully drill 3 holes through the body of the tube, making the openings large enough for a piece of treat to slip through.

Step 4: Squeeze the cardboard roll so that it opens to a tube shape again. Drop a few little pieces of treat inside.

Step 5: Show the toy to your cat and roll it around on the floor. This way, they can see how the treats will fall out. Then, it’s off to the races!

You can join in the fun with them, or just let your kitty play on their own.
